Licensed Vocational Nurse – Full‑Time Day Shift

About the role

The Palestine Regional Medical Center is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a full‑time day shift. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care in a 150‑bed acute care hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care, including assessment, treatment, and documentation.
• Assess and reassess patient pain, applying appropriate pain‑management techniques and educating patients and families.
• Collect and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, blood pressure) and maintain accurate medical records.
• Apply sterile techniques and infection‑control procedures in all patient interactions.
• Administer medications and IV fluids following the six rights to minimize errors.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, physicians, and staff, addressing psychosocial and cultural needs.
• Assist in developing and updating individualized plans of care.

Required profile

• Current LVN license in Texas.
• Ability to interact respectfully with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Strong judgment and decision‑making based on clinical knowledge.
• Understanding of age‑specific growth, development, and care requirements.
