Licensed Therapist – Full‑time

About the role

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Miami is seeking a full‑time Licensed Therapist. This position provides individualized case management, group therapy, and bio‑psychosocial assessments for pediatric patients.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct interviews and evaluations to determine patient needs and develop treatment plans.
• Provide individual and group psycho‑education and counseling sessions.
• Prepare progress notes, reports, and comprehensive clinical summaries.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate psychosocial services.
• Maintain accurate case records and required documentation.
• Serve as liaison to external service providers and treatment centers.
• Collect routine data for research studies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Valid State of Florida licensure or eligibility.
• Minimum of 1 year relevant experience, including training.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Willingness to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
