Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Hybrid (Part‑Time)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a hybrid, part‑time position. Working 32 hours per week, you will provide both in‑person and virtual clinical care to patients on the Medley campus, under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Key responsibilities

• Administer nursing care and perform patient assessments in accordance with LPN scope of practice.
• Provide video‑based telehealth services, including remote patient monitoring and symptom triage.
• Coordinate care among providers, patients, and third‑party services, including medication reconciliation.
• Document patient information accurately and concisely in the electronic health record.
• Assist with pre‑operative and post‑operative education for patients and families.
• Participate in care‑planning meetings, team conferences, and quality‑improvement activities.
• Support registered nurses, ARNPs, and physicians with administrative tasks and communication.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Florida.
• Ability to work under RN supervision and follow unit policies.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and professional bedside manner.
• Effective communication skills for both in‑person and virtual interactions.
• Critical‑thinking and decision‑making abilities for patient triage.
