Licensed Practical Nurse – Long Term Care

About the role

Citizens Health is seeking a full‑time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high‑quality care in its Long Term Care facility in Colby, KS. The LPN will supervise staff, deliver resident care, and uphold the organization’s mission of enhancing lives.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise CNAs, NAs and other staff, especially when leadership is absent.
• Provide direct resident care using the nursing process and develop individualized care plans.
• Assess resident needs, record physician orders, and administer medications safely.
• Maintain continuous awareness of resident conditions and document care accurately.
• Assist the Director of Nursing with overall nursing service supervision.

Required profile

• Current LPN license.
• Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and the State Nurse Practice Act.
• Ability to interact tactfully with geriatric residents, families, and interdisciplinary staff.

Required skills

• CPR certification.
