Licensed Pharmacy Technician - Distribution Pharmacy

About the role

Meijer is hiring a Licensed Pharmacy Technician for its distribution pharmacy in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Working under the supervision of a pharmacist, the technician refills and replenishes prescription requests in an automated central-fill pharmacy, prepares packages and distributes medications in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining quality and steady workflow. The schedule consists of four 10.5-hour shifts from 10:30 AM to 9:30 PM, Sunday through Friday, closed on Saturdays.

Key responsibilities

• Fills cells and bottles with prescribed tablets and capsules, places products in containers and affixes labels.
• Ensures order and inventory accuracy through established processes.
• Folds and packs paperwork with prescriptions to prepare for shipping (tote closeout SOP).
• Maintains inventory control and quality and temperature standards during safe transfer and storage.
• Reads computer screens to locate products, verifies size and strength, selects drugs from stock and counts or pours them.
• Restocks and replenishes medication, cleans and maintains cells and keeps the work area tidy.
• Receives purchase orders, verifies item, quantity and quality, enters data into software, and checks shipments against billing records.

Required profile

• State of Indiana Pharmacy Technician license.
• Prior warehouse experience is helpful.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with good attendance.
• Able to lift more than 50 lbs and use fine motor hand functions.
