Licensed Pharmacist – Long-Term Care Pharmacy

About the role

SpecialtyRx is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join its fast‑growing long‑term care (LTC) pharmacy team. You will provide personalized pharmaceutical care to nursing homes, assisted‑living facilities, and other LTC settings, ensuring safe and effective medication therapy for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Review medication orders for appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and proper administration.
• Ensure accurate dispensing, labeling, and supply of medicines.
• Communicate medication‑related queries with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Supervise medication preparation and make therapy recommendations when needed.
• Investigate and resolve medication‑related issues.
• Maintain a detailed customer database that includes medical history, clinical data, and laboratory results.

Required profile

• Active pharmacist license with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy.
• Previous experience in long‑term care pharmacy preferred.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and perform light lifting.
• Comfortable sitting or standing for extended periods.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Frameworks LTC pharmacy system.
