Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist – Flexible Fee‑for‑Service

About the role

Freedom Healthcare’s Community Wellness Outpatient Mental Health Center is seeking a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist to deliver outpatient mental health services on a fee‑for‑service basis. The clinician will work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, providing evidence‑based, family‑systems‑informed therapy in a community‑focused setting. Flexible scheduling is offered to match provider availability and client demand.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial clinical assessments, biopsychosocial evaluations, and safety screenings.
• Provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions addressing a wide range of emotional and relational concerns.
• Develop, review, and update individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Document progress notes, treatment plans, and crisis interventions in accordance with agency policies.
• Coordinate care with behavioral health providers, case managers, and community resources.
• Maintain a flexible caseload, manage scheduling, attendance, and billing for fee‑for‑service reimbursement.

Required profile

• Current, valid license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Maryland.
• Experience delivering outpatient mental health services to diverse populations.
• Ability to work independently, manage a flexible caseload, and adhere to documentation standards.
