Library Research Associate - Evenings

About the role

The Library Research Associate – Evenings supports the East Texas A&M University library by delivering advanced customer service, research assistance, and managing access services during evening hours. This position plays a key role in ensuring students and faculty have reliable resources and support after regular business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced customer service and reference assistance to library patrons during evening shifts.
• Assist users with basic research inquiries and guide them to appropriate resources.
• Coordinate access services operations, including circulation and material handling, in the evening.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and service activities.
• Prepare and manage required documentation such as cover letters, resumes, references, and transcripts for hiring processes.

Required profile

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with students, faculty, and staff.
• Ability to work independently during evening hours while maintaining high service standards.
• Attention to detail in handling documentation and library transactions.
