Library Assistant (Part‑time)

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a part‑time Library Assistant to support circulation services at a technical college. You will work under general supervision, helping patrons access library resources and maintaining the collection.

Key responsibilities

• Provide circulation services for books, journals, audio‑visual and Braille materials.
• Process orders, interlibrary loan requests, overdue notices and SIS holds.
• Assist with library publicity projects, orientation sessions and display arrangements.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties, including billing entry and supply management.
• Help patrons use computers and software applications.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of related work experience.
• Knowledge of library automation and computer applications.
• Prior library experience and familiarity with BANNERWeb and ANGEL is preferred.
