Level I Test Technician

About the role

North Star Scientific Corporation is seeking a Level I Test Technician to join its Kapolei, HI manufacturing team. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience testing, troubleshooting, soldering and interpreting engineering documentation for electronic components, circuit boards and sub‑assemblies.

Key responsibilities

• Test digital, analog and RF circuits, electronic assemblies and sub‑assemblies.
• Operate soldering stations, hand tools and test equipment such as network analyzers, signal generators and digital multimeters.
• Install surface‑mount and through‑hole components, including micro‑miniature ICs, during rework or repair.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of electronic circuits and assemblies.
• Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics and PCB layouts.
• Assist senior technicians and engineers with production requirements and scheduled equipment maintenance.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in electrical engineering technology or related field (preferred) or equivalent education and 1‑3 years of relevant experience.
• 1‑3 years experience in fabrication and testing of RF, analog or digital circuits.
• Basic knowledge of electronic fabrication and testing techniques.
• Ability to communicate effectively, follow technical direction and obtain eligibility for classified information.
