Legal Specialist

About the role

Lendbuzz is seeking a Legal Specialist to support its growing legal function. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will manage litigation matters, assist with daily legal operations, and collaborate with internal teams and outside counsel to move cases forward efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and advance affirmative and defensive litigation matters, tracking case status, deadlines, and next steps.
• Partner with the Senior Legal Operations Specialist to prepare case files, organize documentation, and maintain accurate records.
• Work with outside counsel to gather materials, respond to requests, and advance cases through each litigation stage.
• Coordinate with Operations, Finance, and Servicing teams to collect information needed for legal matters.
• Support deployment, management, and improvement of legal tools, technology systems, and workflows.
• Utilize Lendbuzz’s proprietary cloud platforms as part of daily data workflows.
• Draft and review routine legal correspondence, demand letters, and other documents under attorney supervision.
• Maintain matter management systems, calendars, and filing structures.
• Assist with cross‑functional legal projects and department initiatives as required.

Required profile

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience as a paralegal or legal specialist in a corporate legal/compliance department, or equivalent operational experience in automotive titles, dealership processing, or loan servicing.
• Exposure to the litigation lifecycle, legal operations frameworks, or digital matter management systems.
• Experience in auto lending, consumer finance, asset recovery, or high‑volume collections litigation is a strong plus.
• Detail‑oriented self‑starter capable of working independently in a remote or hybrid environment.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex legal matters simultaneously.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication for collaboration with internal teams and external counsel.

Required skills

• Familiarity with digital matter management systems.
