Legal Nurse Consultant – Part‑time (Hybrid/Remote)

About the role

Burr & Forman LLP is looking for a part‑time Legal Nurse Consultant to join its Health Care Practice Group. The role involves 50‑90 hours per month of remote or hybrid work, supporting attorneys by analyzing medical records for legal matters.

Key responsibilities

• Process record requests and obtain medical records from facilities.
• Verify completeness of records and request missing documents.
• Review, summarize, and analyze medical records and related legal documents.
• Conduct medical record gap analysis and draft chronologies.
• Provide clinical analysis of medical issues relevant to cases.
• Perform clinical research as needed.
• Assist with additional tasks as required by the practice group.

Required profile

• BSN or RN degree with at least five years of nursing experience, preferably in senior‑care settings.
• Familiarity with Point Click Care (PCC) and Matrixcare systems.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and clinical standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent written communication and drafting abilities.
