Legal Nurse Consultant – Part‑time (50‑90 hrs/month)

About the role

Burr & Forman LLP is looking for an experienced Legal Nurse Consultant to join its Health Care Practice Group on a part‑time basis (approximately 50‑90 hours per month). The consultant will support the legal team by reviewing, summarizing, and analyzing medical records for litigation matters.

Key responsibilities

• Process record requests and obtain complete medical records from facilities.
• Identify missing documents and coordinate additional requests.
• Conduct gap analysis of medical records and draft detailed chronologies.
• Summarize and interpret medical issues relevant to legal cases.
• Perform clinical research and other ad‑hoc tasks as needed.

Required profile

• BSN or RN degree with a minimum of five years of nursing experience, preferably in senior‑care settings.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and clinical standards.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent written communication and drafting abilities.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Point Click Care (PCC).
• Familiarity with Matrixcare.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
