About the role

We are seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our U.S.-based healthcare operations team. The role sits at the heart of patient experience, guiding individuals from intake through follow‑up while aligning provider and insurance workflows. This is an active, front‑line position that requires both accuracy and empathy.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients via phone, messaging, and digital platforms.
• Manage appointment scheduling, rescheduling, cancellations, and maintain provider calendars.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits using portals such as Tebra and Availity.
• Handle prior authorizations for medications and clinical services through payer systems.
• Communicate appointment details, coverage information, and billing queries to patients.
• Maintain compliant documentation in EMR/EHR systems and ensure HIPAA standards are met.
• Coordinate with providers, billing, and administrative teams to ensure seamless operations.

Required profile

• 1–2+ years of experience in a U.S. healthcare, telehealth, or medical office setting.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Hands‑on experience with EMR/EHR platforms.
• Strong understanding of insurance verification and prior‑authorization workflows.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously.
• Comfortable working independently in a performance‑driven environment.
