Legal Counsel – Investigations

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Counsel specializing in investigations to join Anduril’s growing legal team in Washington, DC. The role combines generalist legal work with a focus on internal investigations, ethics, and compliance across a global defense technology company.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support internal investigations, audits, and assessments covering white‑collar crime, government contracting integrity, anti‑corruption, trade controls, and workplace conduct.
• Advise business units on disclosure obligations, exposure assessment, and remediation strategies.
• Design and implement compliance controls and data‑governance frameworks to detect and prevent future issues.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including engineering, finance, and operations—to address privacy, cybersecurity, and intellectual‑property matters.
• Stay current on U.S. federal and state law as well as relevant international regimes (UK, EU, Australia, etc.).

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree and admission to practice in the United States.
• Significant experience in investigations, ethics, or compliance within a corporate or government‑contracting environment.
• Strong analytical and judgment skills with the ability to handle sensitive matters independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the capacity to work across diverse business functions.

Required skills

• Knowledge of U.S. federal and state law, FCPA, anti‑corruption, export controls, and data‑privacy regulations.
• Experience conducting internal investigations and drafting investigative reports.
• Familiarity with compliance program design and implementation.
