Legal Competitive Intelligence & Market Research Analyst

About the role

Accufile is looking for a Legal Competitive Intelligence and Market Research Analyst to deliver high‑quality legal, business and industry intelligence for a law‑firm client. The role is fully remote and supports the firm’s marketing team with timely, data‑driven insights.

Key responsibilities

• Produce concise, well‑targeted research reports on companies, industries and prospects within tight deadlines (typically 3+ days per assignment).
• Gather, synthesize and summarize information from a wide range of legal and business databases.
• Deliver findings that inform the client’s marketing strategies and business development efforts.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience conducting legal or market research.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities with a focus on accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, able to manage multiple requests simultaneously.

Required skills

• Proficiency with legal research platforms such as EDGAR, USPTO, Secretary of State databases, Lexis and Westlaw.
• Experience using news, directory and financial data aggregators.
• Familiarity with AI‑powered research and analytics tools.
• Advanced MS Office skills, including document preparation and editing.
