Ledger Accountant

About the role

The Ledger Accountant is responsible for executing month‑end transactional processes and ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger across multiple entities. You will work closely with finance teams to prepare journals, reconcile accounts, and support high‑volume accounting operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries in line with the responsibility matrix, reviewing source documentation.
• Reconcile bank, AR, AP, credit cards, accruals and prepayments for all entities.
• Match Sage data with Nexus on a monthly basis.
• Maintain the month‑end closing schedule, checklist, and promptly escalate any open issues.
• Support process‑improvement initiatives and ensure data integrity.

Required profile

• Accounting designation or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of accounting experience with strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger reconciliations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Detail‑oriented, deadline‑focused, and able to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
