Lecturer in Construction Management Technology

About the role

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore seeks a full‑time, 9‑month non‑tenure‑track Lecturer to join the Department of the Built Environment at the Universities at Shady Grove. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in construction management technology and contribute to the growth of the program.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate construction management and related courses (approximately 70% of workload).
• Provide service to the department, university, and community (10%).
• Advise students and develop relationships with local businesses and industry partners (10%).
• Maintain up‑to‑date professional knowledge in construction management (5%).
• Support student learning through mentorship and applied research activities.

Required profile

• Passion for teaching, mentoring, and applied research in construction management.
• Relevant academic credentials (typically a master's degree or higher) in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to engage undergraduate students and collaborate with industry.
