About the role

The Department of Mathematics at Texas A&M University seeks a full‑time, non‑tenure‑track Lecturer to begin in the fall of 2026. This 9‑month academic appointment involves teaching four courses each semester and contributing to the department’s educational mission.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver four undergraduate mathematics courses per semester, including lectures, labs, and discussions.
  • Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessments.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.
  • Advise and mentor students on academic progress.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and service activities.

Required profile

  • Ph.D. in mathematics or a closely related field, or a master’s degree with significant college‑level teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the undergraduate level.
  • Commitment to start in fall 2026.
  • Willingness to submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, personal teaching statement, and three confidential letters of recommendation.
