Leasing Professional – Garden-Style Community in Charlotte

About the role

The Leasing Professional will drive occupancy, revenue, and resident retention for Avant at Steele Creek, a stabilized garden‑style community in Charlotte. You will manage the full leasing cycle, from prospecting and tours to lease signing and move‑in, while ensuring a high level of resident satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct community tours, and show apartments.
• Process applications, perform credit screening and criminal background checks, and prepare lease and move‑in packages.
• Inspect apartments before move‑in, coordinate any needed maintenance, and ensure units are ready for new residents.
• Monitor market and competitor conditions, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and apply community concessions and specials to boost occupancy.
• Design and execute marketing activities, including resident referral programs, employer outreach, and internet marketing via Craigslist, Facebook, email, and other platforms.
• Utilize on‑site property management software (OneSite, Yardi, etc.) to track availability, record traffic, manage resident data, and capture demographic information.

Required profile

• Ability to greet and qualify prospects and conduct effective community tours.
• Experience processing applications, performing credit and background checks, and preparing lease documentation.
• Strong knowledge of local market trends and competitor activity.
• Capability to design and implement marketing initiatives that drive traffic and conversions.
