Leasing Professional – Brooklyn Riverside Community

About the role

We are seeking a Leasing Professional to join our Brooklyn Riverside community. The role focuses on driving occupancy, revenue and resident satisfaction through effective marketing, leasing and renewal activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct tours, qualify prospects, process applications, perform credit and background checks, and prepare lease packages.
• Inspect apartments before move‑in, coordinate with maintenance to ensure units are ready.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans to sustain occupancy.
• Execute marketing initiatives including resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms such as Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record leasing activity and manage prospect data.
• Facilitate smooth move‑in experiences and support residents throughout their lease term to encourage renewals.

Required profile

• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to engage and qualify prospective residents.
• Detail‑oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple leasing activities simultaneously.
• Knowledge of local rental market dynamics and competitive positioning.
• Ability to work a Monday‑Friday schedule with occasional rotating weekends.

Required skills

• Experience using property management software such as OneSite or Yardi.
• Proficiency with online marketing tools including Craigslist and Facebook.
