Leasing Professional – Boston East

About the role

The Leasing Professional supports the community’s marketing, leasing, and renewal initiatives to meet occupancy, revenue, and resident‑retention targets. You will guide prospective residents through the leasing process, ensure a smooth move‑in experience, and foster ongoing resident satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct tours, qualify prospects, process applications, and manage lease sign‑ups to achieve occupancy goals.
• Inspect units before move‑in, coordinate with maintenance to resolve any issues, and ensure apartments are ready for new residents.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and apply community concessions and specials as needed.
• Execute marketing tactics such as resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms like Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize property‑management software (OneSite, Yardi, etc.) to track availability, record leasing activity, and maintain resident and prospect data.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to engage and qualify prospective residents.
• Detail‑oriented mindset for unit inspections and accurate data entry.
• Ability to stay informed about local market conditions and adapt leasing strategies accordingly.
• Effective communication skills for both in‑person interactions and written outreach.

Required skills

• Experience using OneSite or Yardi property‑management platforms.
• Familiarity with online marketing tools such as Craigslist and Facebook.
• Basic knowledge of lease documentation, credit screening, and background checks.
