Leasing Manager - Student Housing

About the role

Yugo, a global student housing provider, is hiring a Leasing Manager for its Salt Lake City property. Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee leasing, resident retention and lease renewals, train and supervise the leasing team, welcome new tenants and help keep occupancy high and residents satisfied. Pay is $22-$24 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee leasing, retention and lease renewal activities to support occupancy goals
• Run property tours, answer prospect inquiries and qualify applicants
• Process rental applications, leases, move-ins, move-outs and renewals
• Organize move-in orientations and run resident events
• Maintain leasing records, reports and resident files
• Lead marketing and outreach, and track market trends, competitor pricing and resident feedback
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and company policies
• Inspect units and model apartments and follow up on resident service requests with maintenance
• Coach the leasing team and prepare weekly leasing and occupancy reports

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent; equivalent experience in residential properties, rental operations or related business is required instead
• At least one year of experience, preferably in residential properties or rental operations, and property experience is a plus
• Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills, able to handle difficult customers and staff
• Carbon Literacy certification or willingness to complete training
