Leasing Consultant - Downtown Chicago

About the role

Morguard, a fully integrated real estate company investing in multifamily assets across North America, is hiring a Leasing Consultant for its onsite residential team in Downtown Chicago. The fast-paced property is looking for someone with direct residential leasing experience, preferably in the Chicagoland high-rise market. The position is full-time, up to 40 hours per week, and requires Saturday shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls and online and in-person traffic at the leasing office.
• Coordinate and lead property tours, and lease apartments.
• Prepare leasing files for approval and renewals.
• Work with the team on leasing marketing strategies, outreach marketing, resident events and leasing file audits.
• Greet residents and prospective residents, stay informed on the market, amenities and floor plans, and communicate with prospects to schedule tours and assess their needs.
• Perform market surveys and invite prospects to sign lease documents, collecting qualifying information and following leasing protocol.

Required profile

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Direct multi-family industry experience (1-2 years); Chicagoland high-rise leasing experience preferred.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills, with attention to detail for onsite lease administration.
• Excellent attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to prompt, friendly service.

Required skills

• Computer proficiency; direct experience with Yardi or Onestep is preferred.
