Leasing Consultant – Apartment Community

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Leasing Consultant to join our apartment community. You will be the first point of contact for prospective and current residents, helping to maximize occupancy and ensure a positive living experience.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct telephone sales and in‑person tours to lease apartments.
• Follow up with prospects and residents to build rapport and support retention.
• Coordinate move‑ins and move‑outs, ensuring a smooth experience.
• Manage lease negotiations, renewals, and resident retention activities.
• Maintain curb appeal and oversee neighborhood committee events.
• Process work orders in Yardi and communicate status to residents.
• Assist with rent collection, delinquency follow‑up, and reporting to supervisors.
• Promote the community to local businesses and agencies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• No prior experience required; on‑the‑job training provided.
• Basic reading, writing, and speaking skills.
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic and follow written/oral instructions.
• Beginner computer proficiency, especially with MS Office.
