Leasing Agent - Student Housing

About the role

Yugo, a global student housing provider, is hiring a Leasing Agent at Pinnacle State College. Reporting to the General Manager, you will handle all aspects of leasing and marketing while keeping resident relations positive. The position is hourly non-exempt, paid $18.00-$20.00 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Greet prospective residents, give community tours and explain property features, amenities and benefits.
• Answer phone calls, emails and in-person inquiries from prospective and current residents.
• Process rental applications, collect deposits and prepare lease agreements in line with company policy and Fair Housing regulations.
• Coordinate move-in and move-out processes and support lease renewals with renewal notices and follow-ups.
• Maintain leasing records, guest cards, reports, lease files and commission tracking.
• Help with marketing and outreach such as community events, advertising and local outreach to generate leads.
• Monitor local market conditions, competitor pricing and industry trends, and share updates in weekly leasing meetings.
• Coordinate resident service requests with maintenance and help resolve resident concerns.
• Keep the leasing office, model units and community spaces tidy and presentable, and stay flexible for evenings and weekends.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent; equivalent experience in residential properties, rental operations or related fields is acceptable.
• Experience at a property, even better at a university or college.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and strong customer service skills, including handling difficult or emotional customers.
• Willingness to undertake Carbon Literacy certification or training.

Required skills

• Property management software such as RealPage, Entrata or similar systems.
