Learning Specialist

About the role

Avis Budget Group is hiring a Learning Specialist for its car repair facility near Chicago O'Hare International Airport. This entry-level role supports training delivery across field locations, working onsite with employees and leaders to help with onboarding, role-based and customer experience training. It reinforces continuous learning on the job so that training leads to consistent performance and positive customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead onsite training programs for frontline employees and managers
• Deliver onboarding and new hire training at the location level
• Coordinate training logistics and learning activities at assigned locations
• Facilitate instructor-led training
• Observe employee performance and reinforce training and customer experience standards through coaching and feedback
• Partner with site leaders, HR and operations teams to support training needs
• Track training participation and completion, collect feedback and share field insights with the learning team

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Learning & Development, Education, Business, Hospitality or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in training, customer service, operations or learning support
• Experience facilitating small group sessions or presentations
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% to support field locations
• Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record

Required skills

• Strong communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with frontline employees and leaders
• Experience with learning management systems, virtual meeting platforms, presentation tools and basic reporting tools, or willingness to learn them
