About the role
The College of Education’s Department of Leadership, Learning and Counseling invites qualified scholars to join its Adjunct Pool for the 2026‑2027 academic year. Adjunct instructors will deliver graduate‑level courses across a broad range of counseling and education specialties, supporting the college’s equity‑driven mission.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver undergraduate or graduate courses in one or more of the listed program areas.
- Develop syllabi, assignments, and assessments that align with university standards.
- Provide timely feedback and mentorship to students.
- Participate in departmental meetings and curriculum review processes.
- Maintain academic integrity and uphold the college’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Required profile
- Terminal degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., Psy.D., or equivalent) in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the core program areas (e.g., Applied Behavior Analysis, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Educational Leadership, Early Childhood Education, etc.).
- Experience teaching at the college or university level.
- Commitment to culturally responsive pedagogy and community‑engaged scholarship.
Required skills
- Subject‑matter expertise in the selected counseling or education specialty.
- Ability to develop curriculum and instructional materials.
- Effective oral and written communication for diverse student audiences.
