Lead Teacher – Preschool

About the role

BrightPath Kids is seeking a Lead Teacher for our preschool classroom in Mansfield, CT. This full‑time position offers a stable schedule (10 AM‑6 PM) with no evenings or weekends, allowing you to focus on delivering high‑quality early childhood education.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children aged 6 weeks to 12 years in an assigned classroom.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities aligned with NAEYC standards.
• Maintain a clean, warm, and safe learning environment that encourages exploration.
• Partner with families to develop individualized care and education plans.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about each child’s progress.

Required profile

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, CDA credential, Head Teacher certification, 12 credits in early childhood courses, or a Bachelor’s degree.
• 2+ years of experience in a licensed child‑care facility (preferred).
• Strong customer service skills and ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Must meet state criteria for child‑care employment and be able to work regular operating hours.
