Lead Security Issue Manager

About the role

Mastercard’s Corporate Security team is seeking a Lead Security Issue Manager to drive the resolution of documented shortfalls in security controls. You will work in the Security Risk and Control Operations team, applying practical knowledge of technical controls and data visualization tools to identify and remediate security issues across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quality control over new security issues submitted into the tracking system.
• Engage with assessors, control owners, technology owners, and security engineers to move issues through remediation workflows.
• Enforce corporate standards for issue and policy exception management.
• Identify issues that require escalation to senior management and coordinate the creation of agendas and supporting materials.
• Develop and deliver executive‑level updates on the status of security issues and enterprise‑wide trends.
• Design and maintain dashboards that provide visibility into the status of security issues.
• Compose responses to regulators and auditors on queries related to security issues.

Required profile

• Practical knowledge of technical security controls.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders to drive issue resolution.
• Ability to produce clear, executive‑focused communications and reports.
• Strong analytical skills for identifying trends and escalation points.

• Data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI or similar).
