Lead Marketing Service Representative

About the role

HCSC is hiring a Lead Marketing Service Representative in Downers Grove, Illinois. The position supports Sales Executives or Account Management Executives in prospecting, acquiring or renewing business, and includes leading or taking part in special projects and initiatives. It is a hybrid arrangement: three days per week in the Downers Grove office and two days per week remote.

Key responsibilities

• Support Sales Executives in prospecting and acquiring new business, and build relationships with consultants, brokers and new clients.
• Evaluate initial RFPs, summarise benefits, population, size and location, and submit them to underwriting.
• Recommend plan design, funding and network options, and gather, maintain and verify data and reports.
• Answer prospect questions about benefits and options, and review benefits with groups during implementation.
• Manage the transition of benefits to the HCSC Automated Benefits Summary and coordinate with the Sales Executive on custom accounts.
• Work with internal partners on standards, filings and coding, and keep knowledge of HCSC and competitor products.
• May lead or take part in special projects, and may include some travel.

Required profile

• At least two years as a health care marketing service representative, or five years of combined sales, marketing and health insurance experience.
• Life and Health state health insurance license, or obtain one within 90 days of starting.
• Knowledge of group health products, benefit comparison and implementation processes.
• Professional interpersonal, analytical and decision-making skills.
• Preferred: associate or bachelor's degree and experience with sales databases.

• Base pay of $55,900 to $123,500, varying with skills, experience and location.
