Lead Maintenance Technician – Upland Park

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee the physical upkeep of its Upland Park property in Miami. This role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs, and final inspections.
• Track and manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, returning unused items and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Adhere to Greystar’s safety policies and participate in on‑call rotation as required.

Required profile

• Experience performing technical and mechanical maintenance in a residential or commercial property setting.
• Ability to diagnose problems, follow standard operating procedures, and complete documentation accurately.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory management and coordinating vendor work.
• Willingness to work a Monday‑Friday schedule with rotating on‑call duties.
• Commitment to safety standards and cost‑effective maintenance practices.
