Lead Maintenance Technician – The Dylan

About the role

The Lead Maintenance Technician for The Dylan property ensures that all units, common areas, grounds, and amenities meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. Reporting to the Area Maintenance Manager, this role combines hands‑on technical work with coordination of vendors and inventory management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and perform work order completion for resident service requests and preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Oversee the make‑ready process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor scheduling, supply procurement, task execution, and final inspection.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and ordering new materials as needed.
• Conduct all required inspections using platforms such as Leonardo 247 and Entrata, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies.
• Complete documentation and paperwork promptly and accurately to maintain proper service request records.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities, including trash removal and general upkeep.

Required profile

• Experience in residential property maintenance and mechanical work.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve building system issues.
• Familiarity with work‑order and inspection software (Leonardo 247, Entrata).
• Strong organizational skills for inventory control and vendor coordination.
• Willingness to work under the supervision of the Area Maintenance Manager.
