Lead Gondola Operator

About the role

Discovery Land Company is seeking a Lead Gondola Operator for its Homewood Mountain & Lake Club on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe. The role oversees daily gondola operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and welcoming experience for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain loading and unloading areas free of ice and debris.
• Lead the gondola team, delegate tasks, and set up appropriate loading mazes based on daily demand.
• Monitor maze conditions throughout the shift and adjust as needed.
• Load and unload passengers safely, assisting with equipment such as skis, snowboards, and bicycles.
• Provide extra support to children, guests with mobility needs, and others requiring assistance.
• Perform snow removal and other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a lift or gondola operator.
• Strong leadership and delegation abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Commitment to guest safety and ability to identify potential hazards.
• At least 18 years old with intermediate skiing or snowboarding skills.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and the ability to work long hours.
