Lead Field Marketing Manager

About the role

Aikido Security, a developer-first security platform founded in 2022, is hiring a hands-on Lead Field Marketing Manager in Chicago. The role drives pipeline and awareness through events, community engagement and regional campaigns, working closely with sales, partnerships and marketing to connect Aikido with developers, security leaders and startup teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own and run regional events, from meetups and dinners to major industry conferences
• Turn events into qualified pipeline together with Sales
• Build Aikido's presence in developer, startup and security communities
• Partner with Sales and Partnerships on ABM, partner events and target accounts
• Own event execution end to end, including logistics, speakers, content, follow-up and performance
• Bring Aikido's direct security voice into the field and turn events into brand moments

Required profile

• 4-7 years of experience in field marketing, event marketing or community marketing
• Experience supporting B2B SaaS, developer tools or cybersecurity products
• Strong collaboration with sales teams and pipeline-driven marketing programs
• Comfortable running events from concept to execution
• Experience managing conferences, meetups and regional marketing programs
• Bonus: experience in developer tooling, DevOps or cybersecurity, existing Bay Area startup or developer network, and experience running events for technical audiences
