Lead Custodian - Evening Shift

About the role

Amentum is hiring a Lead Custodian for evening shifts. The role keeps office areas, workspaces and storage rooms clean and supervised, and works under the guidance of the Operations Manager to ensure all interior spaces and common areas stay clean, organized and properly maintained. It also oversees and evaluates the daily schedules and tasks of Facility Maintenance Custodians.

Key responsibilities

• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, stairways and other work areas to meet health standards
• Maintain restroom supplies and handle linen removal and exchange
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, wax and polish floors, and dust and polish furniture, fixtures and equipment
• Special cleaning of induction units, walls, lighting fixtures and windows (interior and exterior)
• Move furniture and set up meeting spaces
• Remove trash, clean up emergency spills and look after equipment, requesting repairs when needed

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous custodial experience preferred
• Ability to perform some heavy lifting
• Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable

Required skills

• Knowledge of cleaning supplies, techniques and the safe handling of cleaning products
• Skilled in cleaning rooms, bathrooms, furniture and equipment, and sweeping, mopping and dusting
• Ability to perform semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance of buildings and related facilities
