Full-Time Custodian (Top Secret Clearance Required)

About the role

Amentum is hiring a full-time Custodian who is responsible for the care, upkeep and cleaning of assigned areas, residential rooms and their surroundings. The position requires a Top Secret security clearance. The work environment can be remote and uncomfortable, with long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions, and the ability to move on short notice.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of responsibility, including rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, stairways and work areas, and keep restrooms clean and stocked
• Use cleaning equipment such as automatic floor machines, commercial vacuums, wet mops, wringers, chemicals and supplies
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, wax and polish floors; dust and polish furniture, woodwork, fixtures and equipment
• Perform special cleaning of induction units, walls, lighting fixtures and windows, and move furniture and set up meeting rooms
• Provide linen removal, cleaning and exchange, remove trash and help clean emergency spills
• Maintain equipment and supplies and request repairs when needed

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous custodial experience preferred
• Additional experience or education may be required by contract or assignment
• Ability to perform some heavy lifting
• Top Secret clearance required

Required skills

• Knowledge of cleaning supplies, techniques and the safe handling of cleaning products
• Skilled in cleaning rooms, bathrooms, furniture and equipment, sweeping, mopping and dusting
• Ability to perform semi-skilled maintenance tasks on buildings and related facilities
