Lead Copywriter

About the role

Kindred is seeking a Lead Copywriter to shape and own the brand’s voice across all touchpoints. As the first in‑house copywriter, you will consolidate existing agency work, create consistent messaging, and ensure every piece of copy reflects Kindred’s mission of affordable, community‑driven travel.

Key responsibilities

• Write and edit copy for paid, owned, and in‑product channels, including ads, push notifications, emails, and website headlines.
• Develop and maintain brand voice and tone guidelines that guide all internal and external communications.
• Partner with Performance Marketing, Lifecycle Marketing, Social, and Product teams to ensure messaging consistency.
• Collaborate with agency partners, raising the quality of their output and centralising copy under a single voice.
• Review and approve all copy produced by the organization to meet established standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience crafting compelling copy for consumer‑facing brands.
• Strong strategic thinking combined with hands‑on execution ability.
• Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work across cross‑functional teams.
• Self‑starter who can thrive as the first dedicated copywriter in a fast‑growing startup.

Required skills

• Exceptional writing and editing proficiency in English.
• Ability to create brand voice guidelines and apply them consistently.
• Experience with multi‑channel copywriting (digital ads, email, social, in‑product).
