Lead Consultant, Workday Advanced Compensation

About the role

Mercer is seeking a Lead Consultant to own the Workday Advanced Compensation workstream within its Digital Transformation practice. You will guide complex implementation and optimization projects, partnering with clients to design scalable compensation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of Workday Advanced Compensation for implementation and optimization engagements.
• Gather client requirements, design solutions, and act as a subject‑matter expert on advanced compensation configurations.
• Maintain accurate forecasts, delivery plans, timelines, and risk communications for the workstream.
• Collaborate with other functional leads to ensure a seamless end‑to‑end client experience.
• Support demos, solution architecture discussions, client presentations, and scoping activities.
• Develop thought‑leadership, enablement content, and best‑practice materials for the broader team.

Required profile

• Active Workday certifications in Core Compensation and Advanced Compensation.
• 5+ years of experience as a certified Workday consultant.
• 3+ years leading Workday Advanced Compensation implementations.
• Strong understanding of Workday architecture, security, and best practices.
• Proven client‑facing skills and excellent written and verbal communication.
