Lead Application/Production Support Engineer

About the role

AT&T is seeking an experienced Lead Application/Production Support professional to ensure seamless application functionality and optimal product performance. The role involves expert technical assistance, proactive monitoring, and driving service assurance across critical business applications.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor applications for outages, create automation tools, and respond promptly to alerts.
• Diagnose and resolve application issues, manage issue life cycles, and conduct root‑cause analysis to maintain business flow continuity.
• Maintain service levels, oversee SLAs, and provide input on long‑range planning and performance metrics.
• Manage and implement application changes, updates, and patches across pre‑production, test, and production environments.
• Optimize application and infrastructure settings, configure performance tools, and analyze transaction flows for performance improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in application support, problem management, and service assurance.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects, mentor staff, and influence senior leadership decisions.

Required skills

• Application monitoring and outage management.
• Problem management and root‑cause analysis.
• Service Level Agreement (SLA) oversight.
• Change management and deployment of updates/patches.
• Performance tuning and configuration of infrastructure.
