Law Enforcement Police Officer – Baltimore

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond is seeking a Law Enforcement Police Officer to join its security team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this position you will protect bank operations, property and personnel, working across all shifts to ensure a safe environment for employees and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control vehicle and pedestrian access to the facility, greeting visitors and directing them appropriately.
• Conduct screenings using x‑ray and magnetometer equipment and inspect packages entering the building.
• Perform regular vehicle and foot patrols, respond to alarms, emergencies, drills and potentially dangerous situations.
• Document and report incidents, crimes, accidents and investigations in accordance with department procedures.
• Provide escort services and, when required, support the Executive Protection Unit, training coordination or field training duties.

Required profile

• Flexibility to work any shift within a 24‑hour period (day, evening or overnight).
• Ability to remain alert while performing repetitive tasks such as standing, walking and screening.
• Strong sense of responsibility and the capacity to escalate issues promptly.

Required skills

• Operation of x‑ray and magnetometer screening equipment.
• Use of access control systems.
• Firearms proficiency.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
