Law Clerk II – Litigation Support

About the role
CGS is seeking an experienced Law Clerk II to support all phases of litigation for a large federal agency office. You will work on high‑profile opioid and other priority cases, providing critical assistance that directly impacts the agency’s mission.
Key responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, litigation tasks, and case management.
- Review, analyze, and summarize documents, transcripts, and other evidence.
- Utilize electronic databases to organize, index, tag, and retrieve litigation materials.
- Conduct database searches and apply redactions to documents, including audio files.
- Troubleshoot technical issues on review platforms and related tools.
- Draft review memos and other litigation documents as required.
- Communicate directly with case teams regarding ongoing matters.
- Organize and manage litigation review materials using task‑ticketing software.
Required profile
- J.D. degree and active bar membership in any U.S. jurisdiction.
- U.S. citizenship.
- At least two years of progressive litigation support experience, preferably with complex federal cases.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state court systems and legal research procedures.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with legal research tools such as Lexis and Westlaw.
