Laundry Worker III – Commercial Laundry Operations

About the role

The Laundry Worker III provides senior‑level support in a state‑run psychiatric hospital laundry facility. You will ensure safe, efficient operation of commercial laundry equipment while supporting the Laundry Manager in daily oversight and staff development.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor commercial laundry machines following safety and sanitation procedures.
• Assist the Laundry Manager with planning, scheduling, and recording linen processing.
• Cross‑train and supervise other Laundry Workers to maintain consistent performance.
• Report equipment malfunctions and employee issues to the Laundry Manager and Regional Laundry Director.
• Maintain accurate logs of laundry cycles, chemical usage, and maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Dependable, trustworthy, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Full‑time availability for day shift work.
• Non‑exempt status with ability to perform physical tasks associated with laundry operations.

Required skills

• Commercial laundry equipment operation.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and proper chemical handling.
• Ability to train and coach staff.
• Accurate record‑keeping and documentation.
