Launch Engineer – New Product Introduction Lead

About the role

Hunter Douglas is seeking a driven Launch Engineer to lead New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives across its manufacturing plant. You will manage multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high‑quality, and efficient roll‑out of new processes, from concept through the first 30 days of production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage timelines, milestones, and budgets for each launch project.
• Coordinate new process development and monitor performance during launch and the first 30 days after Start of Production (SOP).
• Define direct labor requirements and cycle times for each operation, documenting approvals prior to SOP.
• Create and maintain standard work documentation to achieve targeted efficiency, including packaging.
• Develop and sustain PFMEAs, leading multidisciplinary reviews to prevent quality issues.
• Work with the Supply Chain team to ensure successful implementation of new processes.
• Guarantee timely industrialization of the plant to support launch schedules.
• Support budgeting, expense, and CAPEX planning for each project.
• Provide staff support planning and act as liaison between the plant and corporate functions.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading NPI or launch engineering projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and drive results.
• Excellent understanding of safety, quality, efficiency, and capacity planning.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
