Landscaping Crew Member

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Landscaping Crew Member to perform a variety of outdoor maintenance tasks on client properties. The role involves mowing, planting, weed control, and operating heavy equipment while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform lawn mowing, mulching, trimming, pruning, fertilization and leaf clean‑ups.
• Plant trees, shrubs and install flower beds according to plans.
• Operate skid steer, excavator, backhoe and other landscape equipment.
• Mix, transport and apply weed‑control chemicals in compliance with licensing requirements.
• Load and unload tools, equipment and supplies; maintain equipment cleanliness and perform preventative maintenance.
• Follow installation instructions, site plans and safety policies.
• Report site issues, equipment problems or accidents to the supervisor.
• Assist the Crew Leader and Operations Manager with project coordination and may transport crew members to sites.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old with 2+ years of landscape installation experience.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and follow site maps.
• Dependable, punctual and safety‑conscious with a strong work ethic.
• Effective communicator; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Capable of working independently and training new laborers.

Required skills

• Operating skid steer, excavator and backhoe.
• Applying weed‑control chemicals with a State Technician or Applicator license.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reading and interpreting architectural drawings.
