Landscape Construction Foreman – San Diego

About the role

Pierre Landscape is seeking an experienced Foreman to lead daily landscape construction activities in San Diego. The role involves supervising crews, coordinating tasks, and ensuring projects meet quality, safety, and schedule requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee, manage, train, and coordinate the daily work of crew members.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications, and site logistics to determine material needs.
• Operate and supervise use of standard equipment such as mini excavators, bobcats, backhoes, and roto‑tillers.
• Conduct weekly safety (tailgate) meetings and maintain safety records.
• Enforce OSHA regulations, ensure proper use of safety gear, and promote a hazard‑free environment.
• Maintain daily logs of progress, attendance, and equipment maintenance.

Required profile

• Active membership in Local Union 89.
• Valid California driver’s license with a clean DMV record.
• Prior knowledge of landscape and construction equipment preferred.

Required skills

• Mini excavator operation.
• Bobcat operation.
• Backhoe operation.
• Roto‑tiller operation.
• Understanding of irrigation, grading, planting, and drainage systems.
• Ability to read plans, dimensions, elevations, and calculate material quantities.
