Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse – Onsite in Yokosuka, Japan

About the role

Arcetyp LLC is seeking a qualified Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide on‑site nursing care at a government facility in Yokosuka, Japan. The role involves caring for routine and high‑risk obstetrical patients and their newborns within an inpatient unit.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to obstetrical patients and newborns, following specialty care standards.
• Administer medications, blood products, and manage complex central and peripheral IV lines.
• Provide post‑anesthesia recovery care after C‑sections, cerclage, tubal ligations, and pregnancy loss.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot specialty medical equipment, maintaining logs and safety checks.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, social work, and provide telephone clinical advice.
• Participate in on‑call duties, covering 24‑hour calls every other week and additional shifts as needed.
• Work rotating day and night shifts (12–16 hours) and federal holidays as scheduled.

Required profile

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with experience in labor and delivery.
• Ability to work 14–17 shifts per month, up to 16 hours per shift, and respond to on‑call within 30 minutes.
• Willingness to work onsite in Yokosuka, Japan, without H‑1B sponsorship.
• Strong clinical judgment, patient advocacy, and confidentiality awareness.
