Lab Spares Technician – Inventory & Support

About the role

The Lab Spares Technician is responsible for managing spare parts and consumables within the laboratory environment. You will ensure that inventory is accurately tracked, missing items are identified, and materials are dispatched promptly to support internal projects and external vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Scan the spare‑parts room for new and missing items and record them in the WOSM system.
• Perform daily audits, update orphan records, and convert aging orphans to active WOSM entries.
• Process outbound material requests, follow up on 3D forms, and ensure items are shipped within 72 hours.
• Maintain room organization, labeling, and paperwork to support efficient housekeeping.
• Log inbound and drop‑off material, support BU requests by locating parts, pulling consumables, and preparing gate passes.
• Assist with vendor clean‑up, dock collections, and relocation of parts outside of WOSM.
• Work scheduled day or swing shifts; swing shift includes a 10 % premium.
