Kennel Assistant

About the role

The Kennel Assistant (Pet Care Specialist) ensures a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable stay for boarded pets at our 24/7 veterinary hospital. You will work directly with animals and clients, providing daily care, monitoring, and support in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, feed, water, medicate, exercise, and clean boarded dogs and cats.
• Maintain cleanliness of suites, runs, and feline condos.
• Transport animals during check‑in and check‑out and prepare areas for arrivals and departures.
• Educate clients about pet care and facility procedures.
• Perform routine safety checks of patient areas.
• Greet clients warmly, provide updates on their pets, and handle pet restraint safely.
• Collaborate with team members, uphold professional demeanor, and use medical terminology when needed.
