About the role

APEX TK is looking for a Junior Trajectory Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Targets and Countermeasures Engineering Directorates. You will provide engineering expertise for pre‑mission trajectory validation, performance analysis, and on‑site support during flight test events.

Key responsibilities

Develop and analyze ballistic missile target vehicle trajectories, including 6DOF data.
Support system engineering tasks such as requirements development, modeling & simulation, test analysis, and reporting.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary experts to create analysis and engineering tools.
Define database requirements, develop schemas, interfaces, and manage data documentation.

Required profile

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
Active DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.
Strong oral and written communication abilities.

Required skills

Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, Java, and C#.
Advanced use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
